Simon Jenkins was employed as a consultant Pastry chef here at the Royal Lancaster London for a 5 month period.
Simons remit was to develop our Pastry Sous Chef’s skills in product and people management to a level that he would be confident in taking over the pastry kitchen as Head Pastry Chef.
Simons forward thinking organisational skills are second to none. Simon nurtured the whole pastry department and bought them closer together as a team than they have ever been.
He spent many long hours working one to one with Yuan, not only on the physical product but also on Yuan’s personal skills as a manager and a people person.
Simons skill and ability to train comes naturally and everything that he has done with our pastry kitchen is testament to that. We have a lot to thank him for.
He has a calming disposition but carries authority and respect.
If you are looking for a consultant to develop your product and your people, Simon Jenkins is the complete package.
